XM1-B is the second prototype for the Sky-Net system Housing, however due to it's humanoid frame, it developed an undesirable personality, being far too energetic and curious for the purpose it was built for. XM1-B have no knowledge on who or what created it, only that it was made in the image of it's masters and that it was discarded. it does not know why it was discarded though.
