In Diablo I, all magi with the exception of one of their unique brethren can only be found through traversing the depths of Hell. They appear as old men dressed in robes, and each type of Mage is associated with a particular spell that they will cast at will upon the approach of a hero.

Zombies are commonly found throughout the cathedral section of the labyrinth, but are rarer than Skeletons. They are also quite slow, making them easy training targets for rookie adventurers.
The Black Knights are a variation of the Hell Knights and the first knight enemies encountered in the original Diablo. They are found primarily in the latest Cave Level and rarely in the early levels of Hell.
